BIOGRAPHY

Guitarist Alexander Hart is currently completing his masters at the Royal Academy of Music London.

Born in Woking in 1994 he was self taught on electric guitar and piano and began playing in blues and jazz bands as well as with original groups. It was in 2011 that he fell involve with the sound of the classical guitar and began his classical training. 

 He has pursued a performance career ever since, performing to the finals of international guitar competitions and playing recitals in London’s Britten theatre, Amaryllis Flemming concert hall, as well as in Poland, Germany, Croatia, Spain, Lithuania, Kosovo and Austria. Alex Has also recorded with Siccas Guitars in Germany and Guy Travis in London. Recently reviewed in the times and recorded with Radio 3. 

Alex is also in demand as a chamber musician, performing with the London Mandolin Quartet and solo appearances with the London Mandolin Ensemble, in addition to recital programmes with singers Rebecca Moseley Morgan and Alex Sesenton. 

 

​Always looking for new and innovative projects Alex recently worked alongside prolific composer George Frederick Haas, making a rare performance of his Guitar Quartet.

Additionally he is currently working with open strings Berlin and performs regularly with The Gobal Sofar sounds as one of their first classical artists. 

 Alex is also travelling to study with world renowned guitarst Łukasz Kuropaczewski in Poland in addition to performing in concerts, masterclasses and competitions throughout Europe and establishing his Electric and Classical Guitar school. He Recently played to the Final rounds of the London International Guitar competition. 

He is also the Founder of St Georges Music School dedicated to providing accessible, affordable and aspirational music lessons from the best musicians in and around London. 

 

Alex Plays a 2009 Muller double top and a 2018 Steve Hill spruce, made by his uncle.
